How was your Valentine's Day? Did you get everything that you had hoped for? Did you get her/him everything they had hoped for? I know we had a lot of fun tonight and the kids really enjoyed themselves as well. We had some clients come in last week wanting to make a slideshow DVD of some old pictures they had, so they could give it to their wife as a Valentine's Day gift. After we made the slideshow we put together a DVD case as well.
I will find out in a couple of days how they liked the DVD and see if they say anthing about the case. Since they had come into our studio last year and had their family and some senior pictures done, I was able to include them in the slideshow as well as on the cover.
Well Valentine's is pretty much over in our house. We got the kids a couple of small gifts, a Strawberry Shortcake doll for our little girl, and some building blocks for our little boy. Then I had my wife open her present. I don't think she liked it as much as I had anticipated. I got her an iPod Nano.
It was the smallest of the nano's, it is pretty small and only 1gb of storage. Now I wasn't so sure how neat one of these things would be. My brother has a 60gb iPod Video, and 1gb iPod shuffle, his wife has a 4gb Nano, and they seem to think they are pretty nice. My sister got a nano for Christmas and her two girls got iPod Video's. So I thought, yeah, they might be nice, but I'll make it extra nice and I had it custom engraved (which was free, as well as the shipping. 🙂 ) I also loaded it up with some of her favorite song, some nice podcasts and put all my contacts, calendar information and the thing I thought she would flip over, our kids pictures. I got a case to put it into so it wouldn't scratch and I got an armband so she could listen to it while excercising. A pretty sweet package, so I thought. Well, long story short, she opened it said oh, I got a nano, asked me how to use it, then said that was neat and put it on the ground. We then watched "Zathura" and after that she was combing the Strawberry Shortcake doll's hair. And it is still in the same place. So. I'm not sure how to take it, maybe I just need to wait a few days and see if she does find herself listening to it more then she thought she would. I'll let you know how it goes.
