January 2018 and the New Year

As will all good things, 2017 has come to an end.  But, now it’s a new beginning and time to start looking ahead to what 2018 has to offer.  There is so much potential in this year that it’s hard to comprehend at times.  But really, it’s all up to us!  Here are some of our goals for 2018:

• Build a new studio facility (will also be available for rent)

• Offer photography classes

• Photograph more wonderful people than last year

• Stay positive all year long

What are some of your New Year’s goals and dreams?

Portraits

What makes up a portrait.  Well for one, there needs to be someone in the photo.  You.  You make a portrait so special.  Without you, it would just be a photo of a background, a place outdoors, or the grass or rocks around.  You give a portrait life, you make it important.  You make a portrait an heirloom.  Something your family will treasure for generations.  You give the portrait a meaning to exist.  Without you, there is no purpose of a portrait.

What do I specialize in.  Portraits of you.  417-894-0230

Wednesday is Drawing Day

Today I’m giving away a 5×5 Framed photo from one of your sessions.  But you have to do a little work to win.  Suggest all your friends to become our Fans on Facebook and I’ll enter your name into the hat.  Next Wednesday I’ll draw from those who entered and announce the winner!  You can earn a second entry by leaving a review of your experience with the studio on the Fanpage.   This allows everyone to enter, past clients, current clients and any complimentary sessions!!!  That’s it, go enter!!!   HERE IS THE FANPAGE

Passion – Love – Commitment

Not only are these three things feelings that I have for my relationship with my spouse.  They are three feelings I have toward the artwork I produce.  It’s been a wonderful journey to arrive to where I am today and I am truly grateful that I have passion, love and commitment to my craft or I would have given up out of frustration years ago.  But enduring through my creative pitfalls and learning techniques that I lacked when I first started, I believe I’ve truly become an artist today.  So when you schedule your appointment, you aren’t just getting someone who thinks they can make a quick buck because I have a fancy camera.  You are getting someone committed to what they are doing.  Someone who is committed to giving you the best experience and the best end result possible.  Don’t be fooled my imitators or newcomers with no experience.  It will save you  a dollar or two to start with, but down the road those feelings of regret and remorse will not bring your irreplaceable memories back for you.

Don’t let Fall Pass You By.

Fall is here.  Soon the beautiful leaves won’t be.  Don’t hesitate, get your photos done before the weather turns cold.  Get the beautiful fall colors while they are going on outdoors.  Get them done in time for Christmas!  So many reasons to get your photos done now!  Do I have to list them all?

Happy March :)

Aren’t you excited that we are finally into the month of March?  I am!  I can’t wait for winter to go away and warmer weather to grace our presence!  Warmer weather means one thing for me…outdoor photo shoots!  I’ve got some great locations lined up this year, so if you are in need of family photos, children photos or want to update your headshots for your portfolio just hit me up!  Also, I’m still looking for 2011 Senior Models, so if you will be a senior for the year 2011 from Kickapoo, Glendale, Hillcrest, Central, Parkview, Willard, Ash Grove, Buffalo, Strafford, Branson, Republic, Nixa or Ozark just check out this link HERE for more information on our Senior Model Program!

With that information our of the way, say hello to Courtney.  Once the weather warms up a bit you’ll be seeing some more photos of her.  Until then, Happy March 1st!

Website

I hope you’ve enjoyed the work you’ve seen over the past several years!  There are many reasons why I love photography and I hope there are many reasons you keep coming back here to see new and updated images.  One of the things that I’ve failed you in the past few years is actually keeping my “non-blog” website updated with current images.  For that I apologize.  I don’t know what got into me, but today, with a little inspiration and motivation from a good friend, I’ve updated all the galleries with New and Current Work!!!

Go take a look, see what you think. Maybe you know some of those individuals, maybe you don’t, either way, roam around the site and see what you find new.  The site is still under construction but fully functional at the same time!  I have an amazing web & graphic designer at Modtype.  Be sure to stop by his site as well to see the great things he’s designed over the years.

As many of you know, and if some of you don’t I also have a fan page HERE.  Feel free to become a fan and see more work there.  As I spend more time on Facebook, I try to update photos there with different things then the photos that are posted here.  So if you see something here, chances are there are some more on Facebook that you haven’t seen.

Also, something worth noting.  We are currently looking for High School Senior Models for our New Model Program for the class of 2011.  We can still capture your 2010 senior photos, but models are limited to the class of 2011 and a select few from the class of 2012.  If you are interested in applying see our Page HERE.

Another page I would like you to look at if you have the time is that of our testimonial page.  HERE.  We love our clients and we love to hear what they have to say.  You as visitors or clients are always welcome to leave feedback on the site, on the photography or just a comment to let us know you’re having a good day!

Have a Great Weekend

What Happens When You Get Lost?

I’ve been fortunate enough this year to travel to several great locations.  While there I’ve attended some great seminars and heard some great speakers.  In fact just last Wednesday I attended another photographic conference in St. Louis.  This summer I attended one in Park City Utah, and while driving in the southern part of the state, I missed my turn and drove about 84 miles out of the way.  With no cell service or map to double check my location, I just kept driving.  That’s when I found this place.  Ghost Rock.   Talk about a wonderful view.  Absolutely spectacular!  It was so stunning that I had to record it in my memory as well as on film and for that reason had to share it with you.  So if you are ever driving in southern Utah and come across this small area to the side of the road, be sure to stop and take a look!  you’ll be glad you did.
