Don’t let Fall Pass You By.

Fall is here.  Soon the beautiful leaves won’t be.  Don’t hesitate, get your photos done before the weather turns cold.  Get the beautiful fall colors while they are going on outdoors.  Get them done in time for Christmas!  So many reasons to get your photos done now!  Do I have to list them all?

My Friend Brent

You know one of the last scene’s in Tombstone, where Doc is bed ridden with tuberculosis… and he’d written a little memoir towards Wyatt? My friend Wyatt.

Doc Holliday: “Sure ya do, say goodbye to me, go grab that spirited actress and make her your own. Take that spirit from her and don’t look back. Live every second, live right on through to the end. Live Wyatt, live for me. Wyatt, if you were ever my friend… if ya ever had even the slightest of feelin’ for me, leave now, leave now… please.”

Anyway, Brent is awesome. I’m pretty sure I wear his phone straight out calling him about three times a day. I love that we can talk business, family stuff, whatever. My friend Brent.

Brent and I shot a wedding last fall… here’s a few of his images. I don’t think he posts enough of his cool stuff. He’s a fantastic wedding photographer!!

I saw this from a friend of mine today.  He’s a great friend and wrote this totally unsolicited.  I’m really floored that he thinks so highly of me.  Makes me truly feel humbled.
Here are the photos he shared from the wedding.

Are Wedding Bells In Your Future?

Your wedding might be next month.  It might be next year.  It might be just a journal entry and a dream.  Whatever it is to you, and whenever it is, take some wonderful advice:  Let a true professional capture your wedding memories.  It will be one decision you will never regret! That I can promise you.  Even if you don’t choose me as your photographer, hire someone that has an artistic ability, and know how of capturing an image that will give you memories for generations to come.

Here are a list of some Friends and Fellow Artists whose work I not only admire but who are wonderful people who will serve your wedding day with the love and respect that it deserves and still make you laugh and smile the entire day.

Jason & Aurelia ~   Dawn Shields ~   Jared & Joanna ~   Josh Carter

Gene Ho ~   Jonathan CanlasSteve & Shelley

I’ve been blessed to know each of these teams/individuals for quite some time.  Honestly, their work is beauty and art combined. Their work inspires me every day I look upon it.   They have not only  made me a better photographer by knowing them,  working with them, and by being their friend, they have made me a better person.

So whoever you choose to work with during  your wedding, portraits or to capture your child’s birthday.  Whether it’s Josh, Jason & Aurelia,  Steve & Shelley, Gene, Dawn, Jared & Joanna, Jonathan or I.  Just make sure they inspire you, and you’ll always enjoy the art they create for you for years and years and years.

Las Vegas

Last week is so hard describe for me.  It was a week filled with travel, laughs, crying and a little bit of everything else.  One of the great things as  a professional photographer that I get to do is invest in myself and my craft.  Last week that meant WPPI in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Classes included everything from business to lighting and composition.  Marketing, style and core values were discussed.  I came back with some insanely INCREDIBLE ideas and was able to meet some of the photographic industries top leaders.

So, with that, keep watch for some NEW and AWESOME things on the horizon.  Things that will effect you to your core, if you choose so.

With that out of the way, let me start off by sharing my most favorite photo from the entire trip.  I think I’m going to enlarge this to a 20×30 and hang it on my office wall!   If you want a copy of the photo let me know and I”ll put some special Vegas pricing together for you!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the work you’ve seen over the past several years!  There are many reasons why I love photography and I hope there are many reasons you keep coming back here to see new and updated images.  One of the things that I’ve failed you in the past few years is actually keeping my “non-blog” website updated with current images.  For that I apologize.  I don’t know what got into me, but today, with a little inspiration and motivation from a good friend, I’ve updated all the galleries with New and Current Work!!!

Go take a look, see what you think. Maybe you know some of those individuals, maybe you don’t, either way, roam around the site and see what you find new.  The site is still under construction but fully functional at the same time!  I have an amazing web & graphic designer at Modtype.  Be sure to stop by his site as well to see the great things he’s designed over the years.

As many of you know, and if some of you don’t I also have a fan page HERE.  Feel free to become a fan and see more work there.  As I spend more time on Facebook, I try to update photos there with different things then the photos that are posted here.  So if you see something here, chances are there are some more on Facebook that you haven’t seen.

Also, something worth noting.  We are currently looking for High School Senior Models for our New Model Program for the class of 2011.  We can still capture your 2010 senior photos, but models are limited to the class of 2011 and a select few from the class of 2012.  If you are interested in applying see our Page HERE.

Another page I would like you to look at if you have the time is that of our testimonial page.  HERE.  We love our clients and we love to hear what they have to say.  You as visitors or clients are always welcome to leave feedback on the site, on the photography or just a comment to let us know you’re having a good day!

Have a Great Weekend

OK, I finished up Justin & Janine’s wedding photos today and this was one of the last ones in the group.  I had forgotten we went outside to capture a photo or two in the falling snow and when I looked through them, this one turned out being one of my favorites!  What do you think?

Some Wedding Images

Just wanted to share a sneak peak at some wedding images that I’m finishing up!  You can tell, the bride was stunning!  Besides the cold weather, the images are turning out quite amazing if I say so myself!

End of the Year

Well it’s that time of year that only comes around one time a year. What I’m talking about is the end of the year.  The time when we tend to reflect upon what we did the entire year, where we could do better, things we could change, resolutions we can make.  Well the final days of 2009 are fast upon us and before I usher out the last days I have the great opportunity to photograph one more wedding for 2009.  Tomorrow I’ll be in St. Louis sharing the day with Justin and Janine!  It will be cold but I know the images will be beautiful!!!  So in the spirit of their wedding tomorrow I’m sharing a wedding image with you today and tomorrow.  Wednesday I’ll be sure to put some of their images up for you to see.  Until then.

Congratulations to Rex & Zoe

Just wanted to wish the best of luck to the new couple.  I hope you and your children’s days are filled with happiness, kindness and  love.  My congratulationss to you both!!!

A Wet Wet Day

I’m slowly starting to catch up to all the fun and interesting photo shoots that I get to take part in.  For instance a few weeks ago I had the chance to shoot in the pouring rain and hang out that morning with 7 ladies in 7 beautiful wedding gowns!

It’s a fun thing the brides get to do and they call it Trash The Dress.  Since there was lighting involved, very few entered very far into the water, but take a look and you’ll see the rain all around!
